Xiaomi’s Q2 2023 Financial Report Reveals Challenges and Optimism
Xiaomi, a renowned player in the global technology market, recently unveiled its financial report for the second quarter of 2023. While the numbers presented in the report may not be the best the company has seen, there is a mix of challenges and optimism to be found within the data.

Interestingly, despite the decrease in the number of smartphones sold, Xiaomi managed to witness a slight rise in the average selling price of their smartphones. The price transitioned from CNY 1,081.70 ($148.80) to CNY 1,112.20 ($154.37). This increase can be predominantly attributed to the higher average selling price observed within China.
Now, for the good news. Despite the challenges faced in the smartphone market, Xiaomi has several reasons for optimism. It has retained its global standing as the third-largest manufacturer, maintaining the same position as before. Additionally, the company held onto its second-place ranking in two crucial regions—Europe and the Middle East.
Throughout the April to June period, Xiaomi smartphones continued to maintain positions within the top three in 51 different countries and stayed within the top five in 10 additional markets. This underscores the brand’s resilience and continued global presence.
One particularly impressive aspect is the surge in Xiaomi’s count of monthly active users, which reached a whopping 606 million. This represents a substantial 10.8% year-on-year growth and sets a new record for the company. It signifies that Xiaomi’s ecosystem and user base are expanding, providing a solid foundation for future growth and innovation.
